| Love is Kind | It is good natured,it shows itself as being mild, it is never seen in an ungodly disposition, it is sympathetic towards others that are less fortunate, does not act unseemly, it is careful with words, it does not speak to injure, but only to inform and heal; it instructs without aggravating or grieving; it is tolerant of others opinions, it is reciprocal in kindness, it looks for opportunities to do kind acts; it is tender, even in discipline. It is agreeable even during mood swings, temperature changes, and periods of exhaustion.

| Love is not Jealous | It is not sorry to see the success of others, it does not boil over and seethe with hatred at another's increase; it is not envious of someone else, it is not sour because of what someone else has, it does not walk in fits of hate over another's blessing; rather it rejoices in the good fortune of others. It does not fear the loss of esteem or standing, it does not fear the rising of esteem or power in another, it is not engaged in rivalry toward a friend, or bitter at the rise of an enemy.

| Love does not Brag | It does not talk about itself, it does not seek to display its' accomplishments, it does not flaunt itself over a rival, it offers to hear rather than to speak, it does not exaggerate itself, it is not puffed up with its achievements; it does not boast its own intellect, education or strength; it is not focused on self worth, it puts others above itself, it considers what effect the repeating of accomplishments have on the hearer.

| Love is not Arrogant | It is at home with all classes of people, it does not hold a charge against those below or above its own station; it is neither proud or haughty of poverty or riches; it is not lofty and detached, it is open to Godly correction, it considers the possibility of a more excellent way; it is not rude, nor act superior.

| Love does not take into account a wrong suffered | It does not have a long memory of offenses, it does not keep count of wrongs suffered to be paid at a later date, it is quick to forgive and slow to anger, it does not plan, seek or hope for revenge; it does not give attention to the inconsiderate acts of others, it does not hold a grudge. It overlooks offenses rather than confront them. It does not do unto others as they have done unto them. It does not repay evil for evil, but repays evil for good.

| Love rejoices in Righteousness | It is never glad when someone goes bad or gets sick, it is not happy when someone fails morally, nor does it hope to see the moral failure of anyone, it is eager to hope for the best in people, and rejoices at the conversion and continued righteous standing of anyone, it is happy when it sees the wicked repent and blessed. It respects doing the right thing, even when it is unpopular and inconvenient. It does not cause anyone to stumble through gossip or error, it loves truth and godliness. It is not prejudiced in truth or judgment because of the high attainments of one, or the low standing of another. It suffers persecution patiently for standing up for right values. It rejoices by faith and not by sight.

| Love bears, believes, hopes, endures, all things | It strives to mix all the qualities of a Godly walk, operates with all of them at the same time, it does not do one and say its' enough. It believes God for big things and recognizes the power of patience. It does not weaken or grow slack in faith because of time. It stands up under pressure, believes in the face of contrary evidence, hopes for greater things to come, endures the assaults of evil men. It place its' full trust and hope in the validity of the scriptures. it believes that God is God. It watches patiently for the coming of the Lord.
